In addition to our Frequently Asked Questions, we also get further questions about our products and printing methods. Here we run down some of the most common questions we get asked by our customers, so you can get to know us and our products a little bit better. HOW DO YOU PRINT YOUR COTTON TOTE BAGS?

At Super Cool Totes we print our cotton tote bags using the heat transfer print method. This allows us to quickly complete short run orders accurately, with the finished product matching very closely to what you see on screen. Your artwork files are sorted and sent through our special RIP software, that converts it into a printable format. We can also adjust colour and white toner levels depending on the colour of the bag we are printing into. The artwork is then printed through our specialist white toner printer in reverse, onto a silicone backed transfer paper. The transfer is then placed on top of the bag and heat pressed for 12-14 seconds. Upon completion the transfer paper is peeled away, leaving the finished image on the bag. The bag is then left to cool for a short while before being packed and shipped.

HOW DO YOU CREATE SO MANY PRODUCT VARIATIONS?

We wanted to create a site like no other, where you can pick and personalise a design to make something more unique to you. To achieve this aim we create as many product variations for each design as our website will allow. We aim to give as much choice as possible without it affecting the speed of our website. It takes much longer to create products with many options and requires a lot of organisation when it comes to artwork files and product images. A lot of planning went into the workflows of creating products, and we have tens of thousands of files containing all possible product combinations on our server.

HOW DO I UPLOAD MY OWN ARTWORK TO BE PRINTED ON A TOTE BAG?

If you simply want to upload your own design or photograph to be printed on a tote bag, we’ve got you covered. To use your own artwork you will need to head over to our create a bag category. These are products that allow you to start designing from scratch. Choose a product you would like to personalise, and once on the product page hit ‘Customise’. This will prompt our design tool to load onto the page. Once the design tool has loaded you will see options on the right hand side to upload your own image. Hit ‘Upload Image’ and you can upload any image from your device or computer. Once the image has loaded you can position it on the tote bag using our intuitive snapping tool. You can upload as many images as you like, even making a collage on the bag if you so wish.

CAN I SELL MY OWN ARTWORK ON SUPER COOL TOTES?

Not yet, but we do have plans to open up our shop to fellow creatives out there. We will eventually launch a scheme where designers and artists can submit their own artwork, and sell in our shop. The artist would then receive a cut every time a product with their artwork on is sold. We are really looking forward to doing something like this in the near future. WILL YOU BE CREATING MORE BAG DESIGNS?

Yes! The aim is to be constantly updating our store with new designs across every category imaginable. We want to be the place to go for buying tote bags online. If you have an idea of a design you would like to see in our store, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY ORDER TO ARRIVE?

We aim to have your order dispatched within 2 working days, however it’s usually quicker than this. In addition to this, UK postage usually takes 2-4 days. So you can expect your order to arrive in a week or less. We will be adding some more shipping options and regions soon. If you’re outside the UK we’re unable to offer exact shipping times as this greatly depends on the postage system in  your own country.

ARE YOUR BAGS ECO FRIENDLY?

Absolutely! All our products are made from 100% natural cotton without any nasty additives. We aim to only sell eco friendly products as we don’t want to create unnecessary waste for the sake of it. Our cotton tote bags are a great alternative to plastic bags, and look better too!

ARE THERE ANY JOBS AVAILABLE AT SUPER COOL TOTES?

We currently don’t have any jobs available at Super Cool Totes as our operations is kept small and manageable, but who knows, in the future we may need extra help.

CAN I HAVE A DIGITAL COPY OF MY DESIGN AFTER I’VE ORDERED?

As our artwork is created and sourced from various places, any digital copy requests are done on a case by case basis. To give you some examples, if you have created a bag design using your own photos and custom text, you will be allowed to have a digital copy of the artwork. However, if you’ve created a design that uses licensed artwork, they typically do now allow digital redistribution. Just get in touch if you would like to find out if you are eligible.
